AIDS/HIV Assistance Program - (203) 575-4337
The AIDS/HIV Assistance Program (AHAP) consists of support groups, transportation, emergency financial assistance, individual counseling and case management/client advocacy. The program targets services to persons in the correctional/criminal justice systems, substance users and their partners, persons awaiting placement or admission to substance abuse treatment, psychosocial services or medical care, persons who are newly diagnosed and/or repeatedly become infected with STDs, sex partners of a person who recently learned they are HIV infected and women in high-risk situations.

The Summer Food Service Program coordinates and delivers, commercially prepared, breakfast and lunch to area sites throughout Meriden during the summer months. The program is designed to provide area youth, mostly low income, with 2 nutritionally balanced meals during the summer recess.

Central Naugatuck Valley and Housatonic Valley Regions
Senior Nutrition Services provides a hot, midday meal for elderly persons in the Central Naugatuck Valley and Housatonic Valley (Greater Danbury) regions. Weekday meals are served at congregate dining sites and are delivered to homebound persons. Nutrition education and general supportive services are also provided. The Meals on Wheels Program, delivers 2 meals per day to 700 homebound seniors and the Congregate Program serves over 550 daily meals at 26 sites.
