Transformational Leadership |
|
At the 2006 Annual Meeting of the New Opportunities Inc. Board of Directors, President/CEO James H. Gatling PhD, told the Board of Directors, that his recommendation was that New Opportunities Inc. adjust its course to “Move People out of Poverty”. The Board, without reservation approved Dr. Gatling’s recommendation. New Opportunities Inc. has made the decision to move from being a contractor of government programs to a community impact model – focusing on high impact strategies to move people out of poverty. Each employee and customer of New Opportunities Inc. is a shareholder in this initiative. Each employee must believe and act as their position has a function of leadership to end poverty, and work from that belief. Operating from this premise, the 2007-2017 Transformational Leadership Plan has been developed.
Since then, the six high-impact strategy teams have formed and developed 3 and 10 year outcomes. They have been meeting and formulating plans to achieve their goals.
