Cabana receives honors from New Opportunities

Donald Cabana, a member of the RSVP Money Management Team at New Opportunities Inc. in Waterbury has been named Volunteer of the Month.

As a volunteer, Donald helps his customers wade through the seemingly endless paperwork and institutions that often hinder rather than help people in financial crisis. Recently, Donald was able to help a disabled family who were in jeopardy of losing their home.

The customer had been trying to since 2003 to resolve their disability claim. Donald made it happen. 

Now that the customer and his mom have a place to live for the rest of their lives.
